In memory of Martijn van der Vorm

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Martijn van der Vorm.
Martijn played a foundational role in the early days of The Ocean Cleanup. His support began in 2016, at a moment when the path forward was still uncertain. He remained a committed supporter throughout the years and his contributions were instrumental in shaping what The Ocean Cleanup is today.
His impact was significant and lasting. He combined sharp insight with genuine engagement, and challenged ideas in a way that strengthened them.
