Now there’s a new way for you (and your friends, colleagues, and fellow ocean lovers) to create your own impact on ocean plastic pollution with The Ocean Cleanup’s new fundraising platform.
At The Ocean Cleanup, we believe in the power of collective action. As a non-profit project, every contribution, big or small, is essential to our efforts to rid the oceans of plastic. Our new platform allows the most passionate individuals and teams to raise funds to hit personal goals and help clean the oceans.
You can set up fundraisers of all kinds and for all levels – so be as creative as you want!

You can run all kinds of fundraisers on our platform. Whether you’d like to host a community BBQ, donate for your special day, set a health goal for the year, or clean up your neighborhood, everyone can raise funds and help clean our oceans.
Fundraiser types:
General fundraiser: fundraise to protect the oceans with your friends, family and colleagues: set up a birthday fundraiser, hold a bake sale, try to learn a new skill while like juggling, while also raising funds for the ocean – anything is possible.
Distance challenge: set an active goal like walking, running, or swimming your chosen distance, or challenge yourself with a 30-day movement challenge. Boost your motivation while helping the oceans.
Start a cleanup: clean up a beach or a park, gather plastic bottles for collection, collect trash while taking your daily walk, or set up a family- or community cleanup and work together.
