Time for Action
THE GREAT PACIFIC GARBAGE PATCH CAN BE CLEANED FOR $7.5 BILLION

Back to Media Gallery

After six years of development and three years of extraction operations, the real-world performance of System 03 over the past 12 months has proven that the Great Pacific Garbage Patch can be cleaned up in 10 years at a cost of $7.5bn. Models indicate that with the addition of more advanced hotspot hunting, this could be achieved within 5 years at a cost $4bn. Follow our progress on social media for the latest updates. • Ocean plastic accumulates in five ocean garbage patches, the largest one being the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. Floating plastics trapped in these patches will keep circulating until they break down into smaller and smaller pieces, becoming harder to clean up and increasingly easier to mistake for food by sealife. If left to circulate, the plastic will impact our ecosystems, health, and economies for decades or even centuries
