Interceptor 021 in Guatemala
Rio Motagua Basin, El Quetzalito, Guatemala

The Ocean Cleanup is deploying an additional Interceptor in Guatemala’s Rio Motagua basin. The goal of this new deployment is to restore the Gulf of Honduras to its original state. This new project is a collaboration between The Ocean Cleanup and Guatemala’s Ministry of Environment (MARN). To learn more, visit this update.
