RESPONSIBILITIES

We’re looking for a Legal Assistant to support The Ocean Cleanup’s Legal and Government Affairs team in a variety of research, secretarial, and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities include:

  • Liaise with the Supervisory Board, prepare meeting agendas, draft resolutions, and minute meetings 
  • Manage team calendar
  • Process documents such as contracts, PowerPoint presentations, and Excel spreadsheets
  • Manage contracts to be signed by Management, filing signed contracts
  • Oversee legal intranet site
  • Manage the insurance portfolio of The Ocean Cleanup
  • Desktop research on law and other topics
  • Correspond with governments, embassies, NGOs, and international organizations

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in law 
  • Excellent English-language skills
  • Experienced user in Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Relevant work experience in a similar environment is a plus
