In order to achieve our mission to rid the world’s oceans of plastic, we need to document and analyze the plastic that is being caught by our system to be able to fully optimize the functionality of the system.

Additionally, with the catch from the system, we believe we can create new materials and new products on an industrial scale. For this part of our mission, we also need a thorough understanding of the plastic catch.

This is a great opportunity to see our system in action and be part of the biggest cleanup in history!

We are currently looking for volunteers to join our offshore mission to help us with sorting, weighing, and documenting the plastic that our ocean cleanup system will catch.

You will get the chance to see our cleanup system up close in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch on a Maersk vessel, together with our crew who will be monitoring System 001/B and the environment around it.

We are looking for someone who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves to analyze and document the plastic catch, and to support the crew where needed.

The duration at sea will be approximately 6-8 weeks, where flexibility is requested to match our operational planning. The point of departure and return is generally from/to the west coast of either Canada or Mexico.
