MISSION TO METRICS

The mission of The Ocean Cleanup is to develop advanced technology to rid the world’s oceans of plastic. To achieve this goal, our crew needs to be able to fully focus on their respective tasks and feel championed by the organization to do so. This HR internship will support the HR processes which facilitate this growing team.

THE ASSIGNMENT

In this role, you will support our full HR cycle and have the space to originate your own initiatives to help us further improve and professionalize the HR function in the organization. Other responsibilities will include:

  • Helping create a new job description format in line with our new job evaluation method and updating job descriptions for the current team
  • Supporting the 2020 and 2021 performance management process
  • Researching relevant platforms for job postings that will help us attract the best talent
  • Organizing fun and learning activities
  • Finding and executing new ways to improve our onboarding journey
  • Supporting the recruitment process
  • HR administrative tasks, such as drafting contracts, maintaining employee files, employee data requests, and updating HR documents

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor or Master's student in human resources, organizational psychology, business administration, or similar
  • Available for 5-6 months
  • Interest in an internship that will give you hands-on experience with a wide variety of HR processes and projects
  • Fluent in English, verbal and written
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office
  • An internship is a requirement for your studies, for which you can provide a letter from your university to prove this
