MISSION TO METRICS

The mission of The Ocean Cleanup is to develop technology to rid the world’s oceans of plastic. You will be responsible for supporting and facilitating structure to the workload of our Management Team.

The Management Team is looking for a passionate, dynamic, and flexible Executive Assistant to help us handle these different priorities," Chris Worp, Managing Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Executive Assistant will provide support to the Managing Director, as well as the CFO and Director of Operations. This is an exciting opportunity to support our Management Team who is leading our crew to achieve the impossible: ridding the world’s oceans of plastic. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Helping management set priorities and oversee agendas for internal and external engagements
  • Planning and scheduling (external) meetings and teleconferences across different time zones
  • Keeping an eye on email inboxes and flagging topics for the attention of management
  • Coordinating travel arrangements for the Management Team members and handling related expenses
  • Acting as a sounding board for the Management Team
  • Coordinating reoccurring team meetings such as the Management Team and All Hands meetings
  • Coordinating the KPI dashboard across the organization
  • Supporting event planning
  • Assisting with the onboarding of upper-level managers
  • General administrative support and any other ad hoc support, including back-up to the Executive Assistant to the Founder/CEO

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 5 years of working experience as an Executive Assistant supporting senior-level management
  • Work experience in an international organization 
  • Ability to assess and organize daily workload based on priorities
  • Comfortable working with and meeting deadlines
  • Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus but not a must
  • Experienced user of the Microsoft Office suite and Sharepoint
