MISSION TO METRICS

The mission of The Ocean Cleanup is to develop advanced technologies to rid the world’s oceans of plastic. Protecting the environment is the main driver behind our work and our mission; therefore, ensuring biological and social factors are considered in the development of our technology is key to our success.

“The environmental work in river projects is truly multi-faceted: you have legislation, local stakeholders, and the engineering hurdles to deal with, and this all happens at a fast pace where you must be able to react quickly and take lots of responsibility. I would like to welcome an environmental manager who can assist the team in our growing projects by being adaptable, proactive, and a true self-starter. Creativity and a sense of inspiration in response to challenges are also great qualities for this position.” Junia Faria, Head of Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental and Social Affairs of The Ocean Cleanup
