RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for an environmental coordinator who is responsible for managing environmental data and coordinating environmental and social assessments and monitoring projects. Our activities span the globe and the circumstance may vary for each continent, region, or ecosystem.

As Environmental Coordinator, you will help achieve our mission by successfully coordinating environmental and social projects across the organization and ensure data availability for decision-making purposes. 

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating environmental projects between internal teams of scientists and engineers and external contractors
  • Supporting the Rivers and Ocean teams on the development of environmental tools for operational phases of projects
  • Preparing and coordinating environmental monitoring campaigns with third-party consultants
  • Collecting, analyzing, and processing environmental data
  • Ensuring monitoring data is used to identify problems and propose solutions
  • Focusing on social impact analyses and relative components in projects
  • Supporting sustainability projects
  • Providing administrative support to the Head of Environmental and Social Affairs

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in environmental science, (marine, river, or wildlife) ecology, or relevant natural sciences or engineering disciplines
  • Proven experience with environmental and social impact assessments
  • Proven experience in coordinating and reviewing work performed by multiple teams
  • Fluent in English, written and verbal
  • 3 plus years of work experience
  • Experience working with engineers - understanding their working needs and limitations
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint (Jira is a plus)
  • Confident performing research, such as conducting literature reviews in anticipation of new research projects
